By car

From Tokyo via Kan-etsu highway
  • Take Fujioka JCT to Joshin-etsu highway toward Nagano City, drive 52km.
  • LEFT exit at Usui-Karuizawa interchange.
  • Continue straight 10km on 県道43号線.
  • RIGHT on Route 18 drive .5km.
  • LEFT at next traffic light 県道133号線 drive 1.3km.
  • RIGHT just after overhead temperature sign, drive 350m (road will angle left).
  • RIGHT at historic tennis courts, turn RIGHT into church parking lot.

By Train

  • Asama Shinkansen train from Tokyo Station takes 70 minutes. 
  • Shinano line from Nagano City to Karuizawa Station.

2019 KUC Refresh Conference Everyone welcome! Karuizawa is a beautiful place to retreat and escape the heat of Summer.  Our prayer is that the conference will be a week of spiritual refreshment as we drink in God's Word, worship, fellowship and relax together. Our first gathering for prayer begins at 4:00pm on Friday afternoon, followed by the first main session at 4:00pm.  Participation in the conference is  FREE  but each day you have the opportunity to make an offering that will go directly to cover the expenses of the conference. Accommodation in Karuizawa Conference participants are required to arrange their own accommodation.  We recommend staying at the beautiful Karuizawa Retreat Center operated by TEAM.  KRC is a short walk to the Union Church and throughout the week many conference events, like the family BBQ and campfire, are held at KRC.  The self contained cabins are perfect for families or groups.  Retreat facilities include: Wi-Fi Internet laund
